Last night, at 8 o’clock sharp, the Soiree Gala Night for the 115th anniversary of Establishment and the 55th anniversary of Combination of XAUAT was opened in the Sports Center on the main campus. In the pleasantly cool night, Mr. Gao Mingzhang,Secretary of CPC Committee of the university; Academician Xu Delong, the president, together with the alumni and the freshmen from all over the country watched the performance to celebrate the anniversary of XAUAT.

In the past 55 years, XAUAT undertakes the responsibility for nurturing people,scientific studies, serving the society, culture inheriting and, more importantly, for the revitalization of the people and our nation. Our endeavors have been paid off.
A distinctive characteristic of our school has been formed in the past 55 years. We are enterprise-oriented, and we stick to our university motto: “self-improvement, uprightness, sincerity and innovation”; And we scrupulously adhere to our school ethos: “Honest, Resourceful, Simple and Earnest”; and we, neither too ambitious nor too anxious for quick returns; we are determined, we are persevere, and we are brave, for we believe in “A good beginning makes a good ending”!
With over a hundred years’ history, our university is expecting a splendid future. The aims of “nurturing people, scientific studies, serving the society, culture inheriting and, more importantly, for the revitalization of the people and our nation” is the result of social requirements and personal struggle and hard work.
The 55th anniversary is an opportunity for us to forge ahead into the future, and a new start for further development. We, as a whole, will spare no efforts in developing our school into a world-famous university; and more significantly, in constructing our nation and people.
