XAUAT started its graduate program early at 1960s. In 1981, it is honored to be one of the first higher institutions authorized by the State Council to grant doctors and master's degree. At present, XAUAT has two national key disciplines, two first-class-discipline doctoral programs, fifteen second-class-discipline doctoral programs and forty-four master's degree programs. The recruiting of technology master and higher-education master covers eleven disciplines. XAUAT is also entitled to confer master' degree to non-bachelors with similar educational qualification. Nearly 400 faculty members are qualified as graduate tutors, and over 3,600 students are working hard in pursuit of their master and doctor's degrees.

　　Holding to the principle of "serving the people and working conscientiously ", staff of the school worked hard and commit themselves to the best service of both students and teachers. With strict management on recruiting, training and thesis defending, the quality of graduates is guaranteed. We are trying to develop a way of training graduates of our own features to fit into current social and economic development.
