XAUAT News Network- To implement the spirit of the China-Central Asia Summit and deepen educational cooperation and cultural exchanges with Kyrgyzstan, a delegation led by Duan Zhongxing, Executive Dean of the School of International Education, visited Osh Technological University and Kyrgyz National Technical University from March 24 to 27. The visit focused on advancing the construction of the OshTU International School of Architecture, joint student training programs, and faculty-student mobility. Accompanying the delegation were representatives from the School of Architecture and the School of Civil Engineering.

At Osh Technological University, the delegation met with Tursunbaev Janbolot, Rector of Osh Technological University. The two parties signed the Charter of the Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology–Osh International School of Architecture and held in-depth discussions on key matters, including joint training curricula, a short-term study program for the inaugural cohort of the OshTU International School of Architecture, and faculty secondment plans. Concrete next steps were outlined, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the school.
During the visit, the delegation conducted briefings for students from the School of Architecture and Construction at Osh Technological University, detailing XAUAT’s academic strengths, scholarship policies, and the training model of the OshTU International School of Architecture, encouraging more Kyrgyz students to pursue studies in China. Ye Fei, Associate Dean of the School of Architecture, delivered an academic lecture titled "Practice and Research: Slices of Contemporary Chinese Architecture."The delegation also toured the university’s laboratories, student dormitories, and other facilities to gain insights into its educational infrastructure and environment.
At Kyrgyz National Technical University, the delegation met with Chemerov Akylbek, Vice Rector for International Relations. Both sides engaged in fruitful discussions on joint training programs and faculty-student exchanges, reaching consensus on establishing a regular platform for academic collaboration and launching a "2+2" joint training program for international students.

This visit represents a major step in XAUAT’s internationalization strategy, solidifying partnerships with Kyrgyz universities and accelerating the development of the OshTU International School of Architecture. Moving forward, XAUAT will leverage joint training programs as a catalyst to broaden and deepen educational cooperation across Central Asia, elevate its global engagement, and contribute to building a China-Central Asia Education Cooperation Community.
