XAUAT Successfully Hosts "Chinese Bridge" Delegation from the France-China Friendship Association of Montargis

News Network of XAUAT -From April 12 to 23, the 2026 Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology "Chinese Architectural Heritage and Language Study Camp"—a "Chinese Bridge" exchange program sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of the Ministry of Education and hosted by XAUAT—was successfully held. A delegation of 22 teachers and students from the France-China Friendship Association of Montargis visited China for a 12-day academic and cultural exchange.

During their stay, the delegation traveled to Guang'an, Chongqing, Beijing, Xi'an, and Shenzhen. The itinerary featured visits to the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, explorations of historical landmarks such as the Forbidden City, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Xi'an City Wall, as well as immersive experiences in calligraphy, paper-cutting, and traditional costumes. The participants also witnessed firsthand China's modern urban development and technological innovations. Through a unique format combining“Chinese Language + Architectural Culture + Hands-on Practice,” the program enabled French students to gain a deep appreciation for the richness of Chinese civilization and the achievements of China's new era.

While visiting XAUAT, the delegation attended specialized Chinese language courses and lectures on Chinese architectural culture. They toured the University History Museum, the ArchitecturalSquare, the Traditional Chinese Tile Museum, and the State Key Laboratory of Green Building, engaging in face-to-face exchanges with faculty and students. These activities significantly promoted Sino-French cultural mutual learning and strengthened friendly ties between the two regions.

On the morning of April 21, the closing ceremony was held in the Ziqiang Conference Room at the Yicheng Innovation Center. Vice President Chen Rong and Mr. Wang Peiwen, President of the France-China Friendship Association of Montargis, attended and delivered speeches. Several French students shared their reflections, describing the trip as deeply meaningful and unforgettable. They expressed that the program had sparked a strong interest in learning Chinese and conveyed their hopes to return to China in the future to study at XAUAT, further exploring the beauty of Chinese architecture and language.

The successful conclusion of this "Chinese Bridge" project marks a vivid practice in deepening Sino-French educational and cultural exchanges and stands as a significant achievement in XAUAT's internationalization efforts. Moving forward, theUniversity will continue to leverage programs such as Chinese language study tours and short-term visits to expand high-quality international recruitment channels and enrich the "Study at XAUAT" partnership initiative. By promoting educational cooperation through cultural exchange, XAUAT aims to enhance its global influence and reputation, empowering the high-quality development of its international education brand.
