XAUAT News Network — On the afternoon of June 11, a cooperation and exchange meeting between the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM) and XAUAT was successfully held in Conference Room 206 of the West Building. The AAPM delegation, led by Li Ye, President of AAPM China, and Liang Yujie, Vice President, visited the university for discussions. Attendees from the university included Lan Feng, Dean of the School of Management; Li Lingyan, Vice Dean; Liu Tianli, Director of the Professional Degree Center; as well as faculty representatives and program coordinators from the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs.
During the meeting, representatives from both sides introduced the current development of their respective organizations, distinctive educational strengths, and potential areas for collaboration. Lan Feng presented an overview of the achievements and unique features of the University's MEM and MBA programs, proposing comprehensive cooperation in areas such as curriculum sharing, joint faculty development, industry practice and employment opportunities, and mutual recognition of professional certificates and academic credits. Li Ye introduced AAPM's development philosophy, its cooperative network in China, and highlighted the Academy's advanced training programs, professional certification system linked to career advancement, and extensive industry practice resources. During the ceremony, the university was officially designated as an AAPM Talent Development Base. Representatives from both parties jointly unveiled the commemorative plaque and posed for a group photograph to mark the occasion.
In the open discussion session, participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on key topics including the joint cultivation of project management professionals, collaborative curriculum development, the establishment of internship and practice bases, and cooperation in professional certification. The meeting resulted in broad consensus on multiple areas of future collaboration. The cooperation and the establishment of the AAPM Talent Development Base represent an important step in the University's efforts to enhance the quality and effectiveness of its professional degree education while expanding university–industry collaborative education initiatives. Looking ahead, the university will leverage this partnership platform to integrate high-quality educational and industry resources, further optimize its talent cultivation model, and continuously improve the quality of professional degree education.
