XAUAT News Network — On the morning of June 9, a delegation from Ethiopia's EPSS and Ethio Telecom visited XAUAT to conduct a thematic exchange on educational digitalization. Representatives from the State Key Laboratory of Green Building, the Logistics Management Office, the School of Art, the School of International Education, and the Office of Information Technology and Network Management participated in the meeting, together with experts from China Unicom (Shaanxi) Industrial Internet Co., Ltd. and Xi'an Huakuang Electronics.

During the meeting, Zhang Long, Director of the Office of Information Technology and Network Management, welcomed the delegation and introduced the University's history, academic strengths, and distinctive disciplinary features. He highlighted the achievements of the University's digital transformation initiatives, including the Data Middle Platform, IoT Middle Platform, Digital Twin Platform, Smart Operations Center, and Digital Twin Classrooms, as well as other smart education and teaching facilities. Representatives from China Unicom (Shaanxi) Industrial Internet Co., Ltd. presented the functional architecture and application scenarios of the university's AI Agent Portal.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on the technical architecture of information platforms, system operation and maintenance, and project management models. Drawing on their respective development experiences, they exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration, including technology sharing, academic and personnel exchanges, and joint project development, while exploring the feasibility of establishing a long-term partnership.
The Ethiopian delegation expressed its hope that this visit would serve as a starting point for strengthening communication and cooperation between the two sides. By leveraging their respective technological expertise and resources, they aim to jointly advance collaboration in the field of educational digitalization.
During the visit, the delegation visited the Yicheng Innovation Center, the State Key Laboratory of Green Building, the Smart Energy Management Platform, the Smart Service Station, and Smart Classrooms. They gained a comprehensive understanding of the university's history and achievements, cutting-edge research and practical applications in green building technologies, intelligent energy management systems, the smart campus network service framework, and modern smart teaching environments.

This exchange showcased the University's comprehensive strengths in educational digitalization while providing a valuable platform for international collaboration. Building on this visit, the Office of Information Technology and Network Management will continue to advance the university's digital transformation, enhance digital services for faculty and students, and further strengthen the university's social impact and international influence.
