XAUAT News Networks — On August 26, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) officially announced the review results for projects submitted during the 2026 centralized application period. Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT) was awarded a total of 127 projects across various categories, an increase of 19 projects over the same period in 2025. The number of funded projects has once again reached a record high, maintaining strong growth momentum and demonstrating the significant enhancement of XAUAT’s overall capacity in basic research, as well as the solid progress achieved in its “Double First-Class” initiative.。
The funded projects include 46 General Program projects, 80 Young Scientists Fund projects (Category C), and one Research Fund for International Scientists project.
This achievement stands as compelling proof of the continuous strengthening of the University's research capability and innovation capacity. It reflects the dedication, expertise, and hard work of XAUAT researchers, as well as the tangible results of the University’s sustained investment in basic research and its ongoing reforms of research management systems and mechanisms in recent years.
Building on this achievement, XAUAT will continue to uphold the principle of “the Four Orientations”—focusing on the frontiers of science and technology, the main economic battlefield, major national needs, and the health and well-being of the people. The University will strengthen the forward-looking, strategic, and systematic planning of basic research, continuously improve its research and innovation ecosystem, and provide stronger support for its “Double First-Class” initiative through higher-quality scientific and technological contributions. XAUAT will continue to contribute its strength to China’s pursuit of high-level self-reliance and strength in science and technology.
