Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Environmental Engineering

The Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Environmental Engineering relies on Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, was established in 1997 (formerly the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry), and has passed the evaluation of Shaanxi Province with excellent results for many times. The laboratory focuses on the control of water source and water quality pollution in the western region, wastewater and sewage treatment and resource utilization, urban water cycle management, air pollution control and other fields, and has formed a series of characteristic research directions with outstanding advantages. It has a high-level academic team led by national outstanding youths, and has undertaken a large number of national, provincial and ministerial key scientific research projects. The laboratory has achieved a series of important scientific research achievements, which have been widely applied in the water environment treatment and ecological protection projects in the western region, and has made important contributions to the environmental protection and sustainable development of Shaanxi Province and the western region.
