Key Laboratory of Northwest Water Resources, Environment and Ecology of the Ministry of Education

The Key Laboratory of Northwest Water Resources and Environment Ecology of the Ministry of Education is jointly established by Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology and Xi'an University of Technology, relying on the two national key disciplines of Environmental Engineering and Hydrology and Water Resources. The laboratory focuses on the core problems of water resources shortage, environmental pollution and ecological fragility in the northwest region, and systematically carries out basic and applied basic research on the evolution and regulation of water ecological environment, the protection and efficient utilization of water and soil resources. Characteristic advantages: the water cycle mechanism and water environment restoration in arid and semi-arid areas, and the water source and water quality improvement technology have reached the international advanced level. It has a high-level team led by national outstanding youths and Yangtze River scholars, and has undertaken 44 national-level projects in the past three years. Academic status: it is the leading scientific research and talent training platform for water resources and environment ecology in the northwest region, and plays an important supporting role in the 'double first-class' construction of the two universities.
